Innovation in healthcare often comes from lived experience and for Wellness Connection Corp (DBA EMPWR), that couldn’t be more true. Founded by Vivek Goel and his team of co-founders, the company was born out of personal tragedy and transformed into a mission-driven platform focused on improving access to both mental and physical healthcare.

EMPWR is more than just a healthcare platform. It’s a response to real gaps in the system. With a vision to make integrated care more accessible, the team has built a solution that connects individuals to the support they need, when they need it. Their approach reflects a growing demand for holistic care that treats both mind and body as essential components of overall well-being.

With guidance from the Texas State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Wellness Connection has rapidly gained traction. Through strategic advising, Vivek and his team were able to:

  • Refine their business model
  • Strengthen investor engagement strategies
  • Secure early-stage funding
  • Build key banking and investor relationships

These efforts have translated into real momentum, with the company generating over $500,000 in annual sales and forming valuable partnerships within the healthcare space.

EMPWR is now entering an exciting phase of growth. With a solid foundation and a clear expansion strategy, the company is preparing to scale into new markets and bringing its innovative healthcare solutions to more communities that need them.

Vivek credits much of this progress to the ongoing support from the SBDC: “The Texas State University SBDC has played a critical role in the growth and strategic development of Wellness Connection Inc. Through their expert advising, we refined our business model, strengthened our investor engagement strategy, and successfully secured early-stage funding. Their support has been instrumental in positioning the company for scalable expansion and in advancing our mission to improve access to integrated healthcare services.”

Wellness Connection Corp is a strong example of how purpose, strategy, and the right partnerships can drive meaningful impact. As they continue to grow, their mission remains clear: expand access, improve outcomes, and redefine how communities experience healthcare.
